QROPS List – July 15, 2016

The global Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme (QROPS) market has seen a flurry of activity in the past two weeks.

The latest HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) QROPS List shows 25 new offshore pensions and four delisted – plus the addition of a new financial jurisdiction.

Finland is added to the list with a single QROPS, the first time the country has figured since June 2015.

Meanwhile, Australia has seen 18 new pensions in 15 days, taking the country total to 270 QROPS.

Four pensions delisted

New Zealand added three QROPS, with Finland, Guernsey, Ireland and the Netherlands all opening a single pension each.

Canada, Germany, the Isle of Man and Portugal all had a single QROPS delisted each.

The QROPS List details the QROPS pensions in each country. Figures are not available for membership levels or the amount invested in each scheme.

HMRC plans to publish the next QROPS List on August 1, 2016.
