Celebrity homes that just won’t sell

If you are stuck with a house that won’t sell, have some sympathy for the hordes of celebrities with multi-million properties stuck on the market.

Some are managing to shift them at deep discounts, but others have sat on the market for years.

Hollywood superstar Meg Ryan has just listed her Bel Air, Los Angeles estate for the fifth time, slashing the asking price almost in half at a mere $11.4 million.

The price tag comes with with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a swimming pool and a detached guest house – and neighbours like Clint Eastwood and Robert Redford.

Pretty in pink is po-faced pop star Gary Numan’s home in Heathfield, Sussex. The four bed, three bathroom home and surrounding estate are on the market for a shade under £1 million.

Going for a song – if you have $6.95 million to spare – is Barry Manilow’s contemporary Malibu home.

The house has floor-to-ceiling views from the living room along the beach and out to the Pacific, a ocean view master suite and four more bedrooms, plus a three bed detached guest house across the courtyard and outside pool.

This one keeps on selling – changing hands for the second time in months.

The steps up to this graceful brownstone in New York have been walked by stars.

4 Perry Street sold for $9.85 million, thanks in part to starring roles as Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) Sex And The City home and a backdrop to Woody Allen’s movie Alice.

Five bedrooms, ornate fittings and fireplaces were included.
