Crowdfunded Classics Hit Top Note With Music Lovers

A classical music agency hopes to hit the right note with fans by crowdfunding concerts and events.

Noel Music Management wants to offer music lovers private concerts, VIP and backstage access to performers and benefits.

Investors can take part in the events with access based on their crowdfunding donation – from £40 for concert tickets to £10,000 for backstage meetings with performers.

The agency represents 13 leading soloists and a 140-strong orchestra playing at a string of dates across the UK.

For investors offering the highest donations, performers will offer rewards ranging from a full orchestra dedicating an event in their name, a specially commissioned piece or the award of a scholarship to a talented young musician.

“The funding will allow us to promote concerts and support the arts in a new way,” said managing director Tremaine Richard-Noel.

The agency wants to raise £200,000 that will help fund 150 concerts.

Travel portal boosts coach trips

Travel portal Wemovo hopes to make boarding coach trips around Europe as easy as booking a flight with a new timetable and ticketing venture.

The firm claims booking coaches is a fragmented market with more than 65,000 operators across Europe having limited access to online booking because no central portal aggregates times and ticket issuing.

“Phone and fax are the technology of choice of many coach companies, especially in Eastern Europe,” said Wemovo founder Elon Kelmendi.

“This takes time, is not accessible to online travellers and means many competitively priced services are underused.”

Wemovo offers 200,000 trips in 30 countries from more than 140 operators.

The portal has raised 25,000 euros from 102 investors against a 100,000 euro target by November 1.
