1002

Another 3,766 foreign financial institutions have registered with the US Internal Revenue Service to report customer financial information under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).

The IRS list for May now stands at 310,721 FFIs, compared to 306,955 a month ago.

The next FATCA list is due in July 2018.

FATCA demands the financial institutions tag all American customers and to report their financial data to the IRS each year for cross-checking against their tax filings.
