Burgernomics is a fun way of comparing currencies around the world by taking the cost of a typical Big Mac burger against the price of the same burger in New York.
Big Macs are a useful control for the experiment because they are the same size, weight and recipe just about everywhere.
So, says The Economist magazine which monitors the data, by taking a base currency, such as the US dollar and comparing the price of a Big Mac in New York with one in another city, the difference between the prices represents how under or over valued the currency is against the US dollar.
