Two new Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS) opened in the past two weeks, according to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
The new pensions for expats are:
- Ellerbrook Super Fund – Australia
- Santa Caterina Retirement Fund Limited – Jersey
Meanwhile, Germany has seen 29 QROPS reinstated to the list.
That makes 31 QROPS added to the list since October 1, when the previous list was published by HMRC.
The number of offshore pensions available worldwide has climbed to 892 across 40 financial jurisdictions.
The last time the number of QROPS was at this level was in June 2007. The peak was 3,754 pensions in April 2015.
The Isle of Man offers the most QROPS (197), followed by Guernsey (130), while Ireland and Jersey both have 79 pensions each.
No new financial jurisdictions have joined the list.
The next Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (ROPS) List is due from HMRC on November 1, 2015
